Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a real-world self defense system that focuses on grappling and ground fighting to promote the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant using leverage. This often includes taking the fight to the ground and applying joint-locks and chokeholds to subdue an attacker. Gracie Jiu Jitsu training is used by the average person everyday for self-defense, law enforcement and military combatives, mixed martial arts (MMA) competitions and sport grappling tournaments.
